Current Layout Design

I love design, and I love to put allot of effort into my layouts. So much effort, in fact, that designing a new layout turns into a lengthy process that starts off with a few ideas and rough sketches. Usually this process takes anywhere between 1-2 weeks, to as long as a month. But a good design always starts of with a sketch; I like to keep mine in a neat little sketchbook I refer to as my "little black book" (indeed, it is black). And I hope all that effort shows.

Rough Sketches

Above are the prelimanary skecthes I made on my regular boredom trips in AP Studio Art. There are multiple layers to the scenery to add depth. I wanted to achieve a scrapbook-esque quality to the images and therefore opted to use patterned paper for my vectors as opposed to solid colors. They city hiding behind the hills is a version of my hometown.
